PIMP YOUR PROFILE - for Multiple Sclerosis!!

Last Year, I had the opportunity/challenge to participate in the Gateway Getaway/ MS 150 Bike Ride in Central Missouri. I managed to tally 175 miles in 2 days. Well, this year, I am going for it again (hopefully my knees hold up). But, in order to do that, I have gotta raise some CASH!! So, I thought it would be fitting to have a few days set apart in August to PIMP YOUR PROFILE!!!

"Huh??" You say.

Here are the deets:

Every Friday in August, I have set apart some time for mini-sessions..25 minutes, to be exact. For a $30 donation to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, you will receive 2 images for use on your Facebook page. Easy, right? You get to look SWEET in your profile pic, and you perform a good deed too. See? Everyone feels good..... Well, maybe not me after this ride. That is alot of hours to sit on a bike seat. :-)

Danielle and Brian Got Married!!!!!! - Iris Photography, Jefferson City Photographer

Yeah.....I love this one!! So I had to put it before everything else. This is a long post.

Hey folks!! Wow, it really seems it is much more likely to find me updating on Facebook given the amount of time I let lapse between blog posts. My apologies to all of you who have been visiting, and have not seen anything new. (MOM!!!)

So, a couple of weeks ago I traveled to the Lake of the Ozarks to photograph the wedding of one of the sweetest couples I have ever met ~Danielle and Brian. It was a steamy day, but the bride was gorgeous and the groom was lookin' mighty smooth. Between some tear-jearkin' traditions and some shenanigans from the fellas, it was truly a beautiful day!

The nuptials were exchanged at Christ the King Lutheran Church at the Lake, and the reception was held at Osage National Golf Course. What a gorgeous venue!!

Here's to Mr. and Mrs. Gruebel - you guys rock!!!! It was an honor being a part of your special day, thank you so much for including me.

On to the shenanigans........below. This was totally the groom's idea. I think they were surprised I obliged. Danielle, this is a test: Which legs are Brian's????

For anyone who has ever had to wiggle into a dress on a 90 degree day...the joy of finally getting to the top (and being able to breathe!)
Bride's dad....seeing his baby for the first time. This always gets me.

OMG!! She truly has some of the most gorgeous eyes I have ever seen!!!
I loved the light at this part of the church. Yummy.......Not sure who the florist was.....but she did a beautiful job with Danielle's bouquet! Hey Danielle, let me know who the florist was, and I will give her a shout-out!

Danielle was so beautiful. I just could not help but share a bunch of her bridals with you.

Pics like this really make my heart sing. Pure joy!

Every once in a while, I come across a pic (or a few) that ask for a little more artistic interpretation. I do like to take my photography and get a little creative...adding elements that make the mood of the photo stand out. :-)

yeah, I had a cupcake....they were awesome!!! (Again, Danielle.....who did these.?? Kudos!!)
And, just to illustrate what a wild bunch this was, a party pic. There are a couple more on my Facebook page.

Another fave from the evening. Totally spontaneous.

And I could not leave these two cuties out. Just a couple quick snaps during the day....but I love them!!

HOA fun!

Recently, I had the pleasure of attending the Heart of America Professional Photographers conference. All I can say is WOW. I was surrounded by other professional photographers who are equally as enthusiastic about photography as I am. Not only was it a completely energizing and motivating experience, I learned a ton as well. Talk about some information OVERLOAD!! I have to say that I will be making some positive changes in my business in the coming months.

In addition to the classroom-type atmosphere, I went on two photo safaris. The first one was with Sara Pfeiffer and the second with Joe Photo . We worked with some models and shot in two very different locations, in two very different lighting conditions. My camera lens was witness to such yummy photographic goodness, it was nearly too much to bear.

For your optical enjoyment, I have included some samples. Enjoy!!
